The National Early Childhood Athletic Association (NECAA) is proud to celebrate an incredible milestone for our Academy Football League (AFL) program. Under the leadership of Coach D’Juan Woods, our 12U 7v7 team has completed an undefeated season (11–0) in the Celina 7v7 Football League, finishing as league champions!

Coach Woods, a former NFL wide receiver and NECAA’s Director of Athletics, has brought a level of elite training, leadership, and mentorship to our young athletes that is transforming not just their game — but their mindset.

“These kids showed heart, grit, and coachability every single week,” said Coach Woods. “To go undefeated in a competitive league like Celina shows what happens when discipline meets belief.”

This season wasn’t just about winning — it was about building future leaders. From structured practices rooted in accountability, to pre-game talks focused on values like teamwork and resilience, NECAA continues to emphasize “Coaching to Change Lives.”

“What we’re doing with the AFL is more than football,” said Edgar S. Moore, Founder of NECAA. “This undefeated season reflects the power of high-quality coaching, early athletic development, and a culture rooted in integrity and growth.”

With momentum high, NECAA is preparing for the next wave of programming, including summer camps, advanced skills clinics, and the launch of new youth teams in surrounding areas.
